July round-up: CRM quotes, project templates and year-end close
Sales gets a proper quote step, projects can be built from templates on richer boards, and accounting and payroll fill in the year-end pieces.
CRM quotes
Quotes sit between leads and orders. Create one from a lead with products, services and terms, then email it to the contact - accepting it raises the order. Quotes in Xero import as full CRM quotes, lines included.
Save any project as a template, or build one with tasks, subtasks, assignees, budgets and dependencies, then create projects from it with the team filled in. Projects can be archived.
Task custom fields can point to people, companies, contacts or other projects, or track progress on the timeline, and timelines can be grouped and coloured by assignee, status or priority.
Run depreciation on the asset register and dispose of or write off an asset, with the ATO decline-in-value schedule alongside. Close a financial year to roll profit and loss into retained earnings.
The BAS gets the full purchases worksheet, cash or accruals GST (changeable until the BAS is finalised) and annual lodgement.
Roster patterns can follow a rotating cycle, set day by day. Rosters show who's on the clock and actual against rostered times, and a missed clock-out is followed up - never paid unconfirmed.
Timesheets use shift templates, prefill from the roster, can be duplicated into a new period, and record breaks as start and finish times. Part-day leave takes hours per day, and a shortfall can be paid from annual leave.
Pick a fund from the ATO's register of super funds, set an employer default fund, and see which employees have no fund before a pay run is finalised. Tax file declaration settings drive PAYG withholding, including Medicare levy exemptions, extra withholding and variations.
Final pay handles notice, payment in lieu, long service leave and ETPs, with a full preview. Award pay rates are rebuilt from the Fair Work Commission's pay database, and award pages show where each rate came from.
Choose which Xero organisation the business connects to. Mployr now exports the chart of accounts, items, credit notes, manual journals, payments and bank transactions to Xero.
