Electrical, Electronic and Communications Contracting Award
Cl. 16.2 unloaded base rates plus the full cl. 18.3 all-purpose allowance set, with apprentice rates covering pre-2014, post-2014 and adult cohorts. Rate resolver is wired through to ordinary hourly rate calculation, and existing employees have been backfilled to the new structure.
Fully built. Rates, allowances, penalties and any required apprentice / junior rates are all wired to the rate resolver and have been verified against the consolidated award text and the latest pay guide.
What's built
- All cl. 16.2 unloaded base rates, including EW Grade 5 licensed reconciled to the historical $1,168.70/wk figure.
- Full cl. 18.3 all-purpose allowance set summed into the ordinary hourly rate.
- Apprentice cohorts: cl. 16.4(a)(i) pre-2014 and cl. 16.4(a)(ii) post-2014, plus cl. 16.4(b)(vi) adult cohort.
- Resolver wiring with role-flag-gated allowance summation — assign codes per employee to control which allowances apply.
Known limitations
- Adult pre-2014 apprentice cohort (cl. 16.4(b)(ii)) is not pre-seeded. The schema accepts it, so we can add rows on request when an in-flight apprentice on that variant needs supporting.
- Re-verify rates on the next pay-guide release.
Setup & special instructions
- Per-employee allowance whitelist: assign the cl. 18.3 allowance codes on each electrician so the resolver knows which to fold into the ordinary hourly rate.
- If you have an apprentice on the closed pre-2014 adult cohort, contact support to seed their specific rate rows.

The consolidated award text is the authoritative source. Always confirm specific obligations against the award itself — Mployr's implementation status reflects what we've seeded; it does not replace legal advice.
