Architects Award
Occupational award covering architects — Schedule A classifications: Graduate of Architecture (Level 1 with three pay points), Experienced Graduate of Architecture (Level 2(a)), and Registered Architect (Level 2(b) with three pay points). Excludes university / college academic staff. No apprentices and no junior age bands. Students of Architecture have their own service-based pay tables.
Fully built. Rates, allowances, penalties and any required apprentice / junior rates are all wired to the rate resolver and have been verified against the consolidated award text and the latest pay guide.
What's built
- All 7 classification-rate cells across Schedule B at the July 2025 figures, with pay points stored as AwardSubLevel records.
- Student of Architecture grids stored as JSON configuration — under-21 grid (35 / 50 / 65 / 70 / 75% of L1 Entry) and Bachelor's Degree pathway grid (85 / 90 / 95% of L1 Entry). 21+ floor at $948.00/wk.
- Flat 150% overtime (no 200% escalation) per cl. 17.
- Casual loading 25% NOT paid on overtime (cl. 10.2 / 17.2). 2-hour minimum engagement.
- Weekly rate calculation per cl. 13.2: weekly = annual × 6 / 313, rounded to nearest 10 cents (academic-year style).
Known limitations
No outstanding gaps at this revision — re-verify on the next Fair Work pay-guide release.
Setup & special instructions
- There are NO apprentices and NO junior age bands. Architects use the Student-of-Architecture pay grids instead (cl. 13.5) for employees still studying.
- Progression within Level 1 and Registered Architect tiers requires an annual review against the AACA National Competency Standards for Architecture (cl. 13.3 / 13.4).
- Definition of service for Student-of-Architecture rates includes total weeks of employment and years of experience under the supervision of a Registered Architect — across single or multiple employers. Statement of Service must be issued on termination.
