Health Professionals and Support Services Award
Two streams — Support Services (cl. 16, L1-L9 with multiple pay points, plus dental assistants and pathology collectors) and Health Professional (cl. 17, HP1-HP4 with pay points). 40 classifications and 142 total rate rows (base + junior + apprentice). Standard rate is HP1 PP2 ($1,164.20).
Fully built. Rates, allowances, penalties and any required apprentice / junior rates are all wired to the rate resolver and have been verified against the consolidated award text and the latest pay guide.
What's built
- All 40 classifications across both streams — Support Services L1-L9, Dental Assistants L3 / L5 / L6 / L7, Pathology Collectors L5 / L6 / L7-unqualified / L7-qualified, and HP1-HP4 with full pay-point sets.
- Junior rates and apprentice rates wired in for the qualifying classifications.
- All cl. 23 allowances — heat (40-46° / over 46° for pre-1991 employees), nauseous work, interpreting, on-call (Mon-Sat / Sun-PH split), blood-check reimbursement, per-shift / per-week uniform and laundry caps.
- Single shiftwork loading per cl. 26.3(a) — 115% FT/PT, 140% casual — for shifts finishing 6pm-8am or commencing 6pm-6am (no separate afternoon / night / permanent-night tiers).
- Casual penalty rates per cl. 26 substitute for (don't stack with) the 25% casual loading — Sat / Sun 175%, shiftwork 140%.
- Annual leave loading per cl. 27.3 — 17.5% for non-shiftworkers; greater of 17.5% or weekend + shift penalties for shiftworkers.
Known limitations
No outstanding gaps at this revision — re-verify on the next Fair Work pay-guide release.
Setup & special instructions

- Cl. 26.3(c) — shift loadings DO NOT apply on Sat / Sun / PH where weekend or PH penalties apply. Don't stack them.
- Shiftworker definition for annual leave loading purposes is regularly rostered to work Sundays AND public holidays (cl. 27.2(b)).
